A remarkable environmental engineer and social entrepreneur, has defied the odds to become a leading force in the realm of green infrastructure. Born in a refugee camp, where green spaces were scarce, Hamdi’s extraordinary journey is a testament to the transformative power of determination, resilience, and a deep love for the environment. Growing up amidst concrete walls and limited access to nature, Hamdi developed an unwavering passion for the natural world. Despite the challenges surrounding him, he recognized the vital role that green spaces play in fostering well-being, promoting sustainability, and restoring a sense of balance to communities. Hamdi’s path to success began with his pursuit of a degree in Civil and environmental engineering from Birzeit University. The knowledge and skills he acquired laid the foundation for his mission to create green spaces in even the most challenging settings. His personal experience growing up in a refugee camp served as a constant reminder of the transformative potential that nature holds for individuals and communities alike.

His involvement with the Good City Foundation, House of Water & Environment, EcoPeace, World Economic Forum, and Global Shapers expanded his horizons, provided valuable insights, and connected him with like-minded individuals who shared his vision. Recognized for his exceptional talents, Hamdi embarked on consultancy roles for various groundbreaking projects in Hong Kong and Indonesia. With a focus on green infrastructure, he championed initiatives that breathed life into urban landscapes, transforming them into thriving, green havens. Through these projects, he brought hope and a renewed sense of purpose to communities, empowering individuals to connect with nature and cultivate a more sustainable future.
